    Get Back to a Routine

    conqueringcrohns / October 5, 2019

How to get back into a health and fitness routine, and quite frankly, a daily routine after some time away. After a vacation, or time away from your normal day to day routine, it can be difficult to decide what to do to get back into the swing of things. Decisions like, *Should I let my body…

Intermittent Fasting: My Latest IBD Experiment

    conqueringcrohns / September 25, 2019

I recently started dabbling with Intermittent Fasting (IF) after seeing my sister and some others start doing it. I’ve done the research and heard a lot of good things about it so I figured I would try it out for a bit and share my experience with you! I have been experimenting with IF for about 2…

    conqueringcrohns / August 24, 2019

I have my sister in law’s wedding coming up (yay!) and I feel this is a good time to bring up dealing with your IBD for special occasions. I used to dread having to go to events or travel with my sports teams in college while I was badly flaring because of the amount of unknowns going…

What They Didn’t Tell You About IBD…

    conqueringcrohns / August 12, 2019

So you or someone you know has some form of IBD and you think that everyone may experience the same thing. That couldn’t be further from the truth! I’ve now been a part of the IBD community for quite a while. I’ve learned a whole lot throughout this time, but there was one thing that actually…

***This post references “The Autoimmune Wellness Handbook” and “Healthy Gut Healthy You” Being active is something I am super passionate about. I was an athlete for more than half my life so moving around is essential for me. It has been shown that being active can actually help to encourage healing rather than prevent it from…

    Let’s Talk about the “D” Word…DIET

    conqueringcrohns / July 29, 2019

This small four letter word –DIET–in my opinion gets a very bad connotation. Back in the day when I would think of the word diet I would think of restriction, starving, and a feeling of emptiness. It wasn’t until I broadened my thinking about that measly word and did a 180 degree change in my eating…

✨💜Goodbye for now💜✨ I’ve decided to s ✨💜Goodbye for now💜✨

I’ve decided to step away from 💟Conquering Crohn’s💟. This blog has been such a great outlet for me to share my journey, learn, and be there for people. I’m in a good place now and don’t want to spend time behind the screen or getting anxious about what to write or finding time to do so. I have nothing left to give to this page currently, or other blogs I have written for and I’ve decided that that’s okay!

The IBD community is always there when you need refuge and they have helped me during the life of this blog. When I find that I need to find purpose again…I’ll be back. I hope that this page helped others as much as it helped fulfill a small part of me the past 2.5 years 💜

It’s been real IBD warriors ✌🏻.

If you still want to see what’s going on in my life and with my IBD journey follow my personal IG @kelsmichelle10

1. Because I’m well enough to do this and the donations that have been made on my behalf have pushed me. And I’m running for so much more than myself.
2. I honestly didn’t think I had it in me to run this long, but now I know I can!
